UVA Launches $180 Million Dollar Athletics Master Plan

On Wednesday, incoming President of the University of Virginia, James Ryan, addressed the UVA Board of Visitors in the first full meeting of the new academic year.
The agenda included the board’s approval of a $180-million-dollar, long term athletic master plan for the university.
Several topics related to UVA athletics were addressed, including UVA’s new golf facility at Birdwood Golf Course and a new softball stadium—as well as separate new Football and Olympic Sports Facilities.
These facilities will feature a student development center, a strength and conditioning center, team areas, coaches’ offices, sports medicine and nutrition areas, locker rooms and a flexible indoor practice facility.
