SPCA Offers Half Price Dog Adoptions

The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA has taken in more than 100 dogs since the first of the year including six arriving from Buckingham County in just the last few days.

Executive Director Angie Gunter said they are trying to help out other shelters in Central Virginia so the animals will not be euthanized.

According to Gunter, 44 dogs are currently available for adoption and the CASPCA needs help to clear the shelter.

This weekend, adoptions for dogs will be available for half price, or $62.50 – but the special only lasts until Sunday — for more information on adopting a pet from the shelter, go to www.CASPCA.org .
